Parents & Guardians Association (PGA)

Welcome to the SF Day PGA!

The SF Day Parents and Guardians Association (PGA) works to build and support an inclusive school community, promote a culture of volunteerism, foster community-wide communication, support parent/guardian education, and promote engagement with our larger San Francisco community. Every parent/guardian at SF Day is part of our PGA.

Volunteering at SF Day

Volunteerism is an essential aspect of our flourishing community. As our children watch parents/guardians, grandparents, and alumni give generously of their time and talent, they learn the importance and value of giving back.

Volunteering provides many benefits, including the opportunity to explore your child's school life and get to know their classmates. It also provides an opportunity to build relationships with staff, teachers, and fellow parents/guardians, and to see firsthand how our mission is carried out every day.

There are many opportunities for parents/guardians to volunteer throughout the year. At the start of each school year, current SF Day parents/guardians are invited to complete a Volunteer Interest Form, This form supports the matching of parents/guardians to available opportunities. Even if you do not complete the form, many volunteer opportunities will be communicated throughout the school year, from one-time events to larger, ongoing roles. The goal is to allow any parent/guardian who wants to volunteer to be matched with an opportunity! Parents/guardians are always welcome to contact PGA President Laura Brown at pgapresident@sfday.org with any questions.
