Afterschool & Summer Camp

 

Welcome to SF Day's Afterschool Programming!

After students finish their day at school, we are pleased to provide a safe and engaging environment at our Afterschool Enrichment Program (AEP) for grades K-8.

With expansive indoor and outdoor play spaces, students can work and play at their own pace. AEPare available to all students daily from dismissal-6:00 p.m. AEP is drop-in and there is no need to sign up.

Programs include:

  • Afterschool care students choose from a variety of games, crafts, and activities each day

  • Enrichment Classes 1-hour long content specific classes led by SF Day teachers and vendors (trimesters)

  • 1:1 Music Lessons 30 minute piano, drum, or guitar lessons (sign-ups in fall and winter

  • Summer camps (sign-ups in winter)

AEP is also available on half days with noon dismissals from 12:00-6:00 p.m. (drop-in). AEP is not available during school holiday breaks

Afterschool Enrichment Programming (AEP)

Monday-Friday, 2:45-6:00 p.m.

All afterschool programming (AEP) is offered to our students every day after school until 6 p.m. Our programs are designed to give students various opportunities to continue their education through experiential and play-based learning.

Lower School AEP

Students in AEP can participate in a teacher-led activity, daily crafts, various games, and play in our Lower School playground. Our daily after school schedule gives students some structure around after school play while allowing them room for choice and autonomy. 

  • 3:00-3:30 p.m. Station choices (e.g. daily craft, drawing, legos, or reading)

  • 3:30-4:00 p.m. Recess period

  • 4:00 p.m. Cleanup Time

  • 4:00-4:30 p.m. Snack & Community circles

  • 4:30-6:00 p.m. Free play and recess option

Middle School AEP 

Students in Middle School will meet in The Hive after school where they can work on homework, play games, and socialize with their peers. Towards the end of the day (~5PM), Middle School students will combine with our lower school students in the AEP room and LS play yard.

Fees & Billing

Fees: All after school programs are billed at the hourly rate of $18 per hour. Billing is handled on a monthly basis. Adjusted tuition rates apply for AEP, one enrichment class or LS Athletics per season, and summer camps.

Enrichment Classes & 1:1 Music Lessons

Every trimester, SF Day offers a wide array of enrichment classes for students as part of afterschool. Some previous and current offerings are:

Summer Camps @ SF Day

San Francisco Day School is excited to offer summer programming to enrolled SF Day students. Lunch and snack are included.

Sample Daily Schedule 

All camps run 9:00 a.m.-3:00 p.m. with an arrival window between 8:15-9:00 a.m.

8:15-9:00 a.m.: Arrival-Recess/Free Choice time

9:00 a.m.: Camp Begins- Break out into camp groups

9:00-9:30 a.m.: Morning meeting

9:30-11:00 a.m.: Morning Camp Activities

11:00-12:00 p.m.: Recess/Lunch 

12:00-1:30 p.m.: Afternoon Camp Activities 

1:30-2:00 p.m.: Recess/Snack

2:00-3:00 p.m.: End of day activities

3:00-3:10 p.m.: Dismissal   

3:00-5:00 p.m.: After Camp Care (AEP) $18/hour
