School Life

Welcome to Student Life!

A balanced school experience is larger than what's learned in classrooms and labs; it's also learning to be supportive as a friend, collaborative as a performer, or cheerlead as a teammate.

As Director of Student Life, I am excited to help your student and your family navigate through the pivotal developmental milestones from kindergarten to 8th grade.

At SF Day, we embrace restorative practices, responsive classroom techniques, and culturally relevant pedagogy to create a dynamic and empowering learning environment. Our philosophy is built upon the foundation of school-wide norms: love yourself, respect others, and take care of our world.

What's my role? I help to ensure students can learn and teachers can teach without disruption, fostering an atmosphere of trust and growth. We recognize that mistakes are valuable opportunities for social emotional learning and that conflict resolution is a critical skill that students need to learn and apply.

Learning is a robust process, and the Office of Student Life partners with parents/guardians and teachers to support the whole child, and help them mature into thoughtful, insightful and caring people.
