San Francisco Day School (“School”) is committed to respecting your privacy and
protecting any personally identifiable information you share with us. This Privacy Policy
applies to the School’s website (https://www.sfday.org/) and any other websites,
applications, or online services of the School in which this Privacy Policy is linked or
referenced (the “Website”) as well as the School’s use of SMS/texting services for
SMS/text communications.
This Privacy Policy describes the personally identifiable information the School collects
through the Website and how that personally identifiable information may be used,
maintained and, in some cases, shared. Your use of the Website indicates your
acceptance to be bound by the terms of this Privacy Policy in effect as of the date of
your use. If you do not agree to be bound by the terms of this Privacy Policy, do not use
the Website.
Collection of Personally Identifiable InformationFor purposes of this Privacy Policy, “personally identifiable information” means any
information concerning a natural person which, because of name, number, symbol,

address, telephone number, graduation year, credit card number and information, and
credit card billing information.

or other visitors to the Website who choose to provide such information to the School,

Unsubscribing from Email CommunicationsIf you wish to stop receiving newsletters, alumni updates, or other email
communications from the School, you may do so by clicking the “Unsubscribe” link at
the bottom of the email message from the School.
SMS/Text MessagingThe School also uses business texting services to facilitate School- and student-related
communications between authorized School employees and parent/legal guardians or
other School staff members. SMS/text messaging communications are used for things
such as communications between staff members, responding to questions/concerns,
facilitating communications between families and the School, and communicating with
third-party vendors. The School presently uses Zoom for these services, but may use
other providers in the future. Engaging with business texting services for these
purposes is voluntary. You may opt in and opt out as follows:
Opting In to SMS/Text Messaging
You may provide a phone number and consent to send and receive such SMS/text
messages in the following ways:
Online Form: Staff and parents/guardians may navigate to SF Day’s Helpdesk
and submit a support ticket with the subject line “SMS Opt In.”
Verbal Consent: Staff and parents/guardians may call (415) 931-2422 x800 or
visit the Technology Office at the School in person.
Opting Out of SMS/Text Messaging
You may opt out of receiving SMS/text message communications from the School at
any time by replying STOP to any SMS/text message received from the School.
The School anticipates collecting the following categories of personally identifiable
information associated with your use of the business texting service: data associated
with your opt-in or consent; telephone number; timestamps associated with SMS/text
messages sent, received, read, or responded to, and other files attached to messages.
At the School, only authorized School personnel will have access to such SMS/text
communications to carry out their duties.
You can contact us to review or update the personally identifiable information collected
by the School associated with your SMS/text communications at the address in the
“Contact Information” section below.
If you send or receive any SMS/text message communications with the School, through
the Zoom texting service or other means, the School will not share, sell, or disclose that
information or your phone number to any third parties or any other individual for the
purposes of marketing or affiliate marketing, or promotional purposes.

SecurityNo server, computer, or communications network or system, or data transmission over
the Internet can be guaranteed to be 100% secure. The School takes precautions to
protect personally identifiable information, for example, by using passwords on its
computers, limiting access to SMS/ text messaging information only to authorized
personnel, and using multifactor authentication on digital platforms the school uses.
However, while the School strives to protect your personally identifiable information, it
cannot ensure or warrant the security of any information you transmit to us or through
the use of the Website or business texting service, and you acknowledge and agree that
you provide such information, including personally identifiable information, and engage
in such transmissions at your own risk.
The School provides links on the Website for you to use when providing any payment
information. The School does not process the credit card information. Instead, the
School has entered into an agreement with a third-party payment processing service to
collect, store, process, and transmit credit card data when a visitor makes a payment.
All online financial transactions are processed through a secure window hosted by the
School’s payment provider. All personally identifiable information transmitted back to the
School is sent via SSL-secured connections. The School does not store the credit card
information on its own servers.
Changes to this Privacy PolicyThe School reserves the right to change, modify, or update this Privacy Policy at any
time. Any material changes to this Privacy Policy or to the way the School uses your
