Community Spotlight: Jen Rivera
SF Day School
Jen Rivera comes to SF Day with over seven years of experience in the classroom. For the past four years, she taught 4th grade at an international school in Singapore.
Originally from the Bronx, New York, Jen’s passion for teaching began at a young age when she would play “school” with her younger sister. She is most passionate about creating a classroom that allows kids to engage in their curiosity, take risks, and get messy! Outside of the classroom, Jen’s interests include reading, cooking, and setting challenging weight lifting goals at the gym.

There are lots of things I love about this school, but one thing I’m impressed by every day is the incredible library collection. I love walking past so many beautiful, thoughtfully chosen texts each day.
