San Francisco Day School is embarking on a long-intentioned promise to our community and for our students—to update, expand, and improve our facilities to match the exceptional educational program at SF Day. Here is the upcoming work for the next two weeks:

 

Week of 9/20:  Noise levels expected to be low/moderate for the majority of the week. Work planned for Saturday, 9/25.

  • Exterior Lap Siding Framing and Installation – low/moderate noise
  • Exterior Plaster Installation – low noise
  • Exterior Terra Cotta System Installation – low/moderate noise
  • Miscellaneous Exterior Painting and Caulking – low noise
  • Scaffold Removal at East and West Elevations – low/moderate noise and large vehicle traffic
  • Roof Paver Installation – moderate noise and large vehicle traffic
  • Interior Ceiling Framing – moderate noise
  • MEP Overhead Installation – low noise
  • Interior Drywall Installation – low noise
  • Sheetrock Tape and Mud – low noise
  • Interior Painting – low noise
  • Accessories, Doors, and MEP Trim – low noise
  • Wood Flooring Installation – low noise
  • Miscellaneous Play Yard Rebar, Formwork, and Concrete – moderate noise and large vehicle traffic
  • Elevator Installation – low noise

  • Sheetrock Tape and Mud – low noise
  • Interior Painting – low noise
  • Accessories, Doors, and MEP Trim – low noise
  • East and West Walkway Rebar, Formwork, and Concrete – moderate noise and large vehicle traffic
  • Elevator Installation – low noise

 

Below is a high level schedule of the remaining work through the completion of construction.  

Current through early-May:  Structural Steel and Decking

  • Noise – High
  • Traffic – Use of Lane for Crane and Deliveries

Mid-April through May - Concrete Decks 

  • Noise – Moderate
  • Traffic – Concrete Trucks/Delivery

 Mid-May through September: Exterior Building Skin (Framing and Finishes)

  • Noise – Low to Moderate
  • Traffic – Standard Material Deliveries

May through August: Interior Build-out

  • Noise – Minimal
  • Traffic – Standard Material Deliveries

September through November: Site Work/Sidewalk and Landscaping

  • Noise – Moderate with some High Noise Periods
  • Traffic – Larger Trucks for Concrete Off-haul and Delivery

Late-May through July: PG&E Related Work

  • Noise - Moderate
  • Traffic – Occasional Larger Trucks
