San Francisco Day School is embarking on a long-intentioned promise to our community and for our students—to update, expand, and improve our facilities to match the exceptional educational program at SF Day. Week of August 10: Noise levels are expected to be low for the majority of the week, with some short periods of moderate noise. Construction traffic will be low.

  • Formwork and rebar installation – low noise
  • Concrete drilling – moderate noise

Week of August 17: Noise levels are expected to be moderate to high for the majority of the week. Construction traffic will be high; large equipment will be mobilized for demolition with frequent truck traffic for material off-haul.

  • Formwork and rebar installation – low noise
  • Concrete placement – moderate noise
  • Demolition of 2130 Golden Gate Avenue – high noise
  • Site clear and grub (concrete and asphalt breaking) – high noise
  • Off-haul of demolition debris – moderate noise and high traffic.
