Construction Updates


Welcome!

San Francisco Day School is embarking on a long-intentioned promise to our community and for our students—to update, expand, and improve our facilities to match the exceptional educational program at SF Day. Here is the upcoming work for the next two weeks:

Week of 2/22:  Noise levels expected to be moderate for the majority of the week

  • Formwork Striping – moderate noise
  • Shoring Removal – moderate noise
  • Soil Grading and Compaction at Play Yard – moderate noise and low vibrations
  • Concrete Formwork and Rebar at Play Yard – moderate noise
  • Drywall Tape & Mud at Residence – low noise
  • Prime and Paint at Residence Interior – low noise
  • Miscellaneous Carpentry at Residence – moderate noise
  • Miscellaneous Electrical Rough-in at Residence – low noise 

Week of 3/1:  Noise levels expected to be moderate for the majority of the week with some large vehicle traffic.  Structural Steel erection begins on 3/5 and will continue for 6 to 7 weeks.  During this time large vehicle traffic will be constant and noise levels will be higher than typical.

  • Concrete Shoring Removal – moderate noise and large construction vehicle traffic
  • Below Grade Waterproofing Tie-in – low noise
  • Underground Plumbing Installation – low noise
  • Soil Grading and Compaction at Play Yard – moderate noise and low vibrations
  • Concrete Formwork and Rebar at Play Yard – moderate noise
  • Start of Structural Steel Erection 3/5 – High noise and large construction vehicle traffic
  • Drywall Tape & Mud at Residence – low noise
  • Prime and Paint at Residence Interior – low noise
  • Miscellaneous Carpentry at Residence – moderate noise
