Prior to joining Cherubic, Danielle spent nearly 8 years at Google building and leading international sales and operations teams. While at Google, Danielle also advised many startups and was the global program manager supporting female entrepreneurs in emerging markets. She was born and raised in San Francisco and holds her MBA from UC Berkeley’s Haas School of Business. She lives in San Francisco with her husband Dan, son and SF Day kindergartner Oliver (5), and daughter Alice (3).

What is your first memory of SF Day?

My first memory from my time at SF Day is in Golden Gate Park at the school wide picnic. It was a rare sunny day in San Francisco. There were games, snacks, picnic blankets, and lots of new friendly faces. I remember feeling both nervous and so excited to meet new friends. Apparently I ended the day very comfortable and made myself at home, as my parents tell the story often of how they had to drag me and my very first friend, Casey Hagerman, out of the mud.

Do you keep in touch with any of your SF Day teachers?

I do! Ms. Skall (now Mrs. Winters) was my second grade teacher. We keep in touch on Facebook, and share Christmas cards! I met her for coffee a few years ago in the Marina and we exchange life updates from time to time on social media. I also still speak with Loren Moye and Joel Young. I bumped into Mrs. O'brien at Toast on West Portal over breakfast recently, too! It's a small city and I love feeling the SF Day community with me, always.

Why did you decide to join the SF Day Alumni Council?

SF Day is a core part of my identity and family values. SF Day raised me, and instilled in me so much gratitude and respect for the city of San Francisco where I still live today. I wanted to join the Alumni Council to give back and reacquaint myself with the school as an adult. I am humbled to be the Alumni Council president — it's such an honor to work alongside so many talented alums and reconnect with friendly faces.
