Creating an account on Ravenna gives you access to San Francisco Day School and the full directory of schools: it does not commit you to apply. Once you have created an account for your child, you will be able to view the directory of schools and select San Francisco Day School to review the admissions process, steps, and important dates.
All applications, including form submissions, may be completed online using Ravenna - you may start the form and return to it at any time. Your application will not be received by our admission team until you press the "Submit" button.
Completing your application by the due date will give us optimum flexibility in reviewing your child's file for consideration in the first round decisions in March. Completed applications, Confidential Common Evaluation Forms*, Student Questionnaire, along with the application fee ($100**) and a recent family photo will be due the first week of January. All other required supplemental documents, such as report cards, are due by the first week of February for first-round consideration.

We have created a range of opportunities for you to get to know our school. Here are events you may consider joining in order to familiarize yourself with SF Day, and help us get to know your family as well. To view dates and register for an event, please login to Ravenna.
At SF Day, enrollment in grades other than kindergarten is dependent on available spots and grade level fit.
Parents and guardians of applicants to grades 1-8 are welcome to make an online reservation on Ravenna for virtual events, tours, open houses and/or receptions. Those who have submitted complete applications for grade levels in which we anticipate an opening may be invited to schedule a virtual Parent/Guardian Meeting with the upper school division head. After March, we may invite those who elect to stay in the wait pool.
Applicants invited to schedule a virtual Parent/Guardian Meeting will also be asked to share materials to help us get to know your child. Learning more about your child is an invaluable part of this process, and we have designed meaningful ways to know each applicant student. After March, we may invite those who elect to stay in the wait pool.
